Greetings:
It is an honor and a privilege to be the new principal of Midway Elementary School. We are excited to work with the students reporting to Midway. Midway students are “Destined for Success.” I also look forward to working with the students, parents, businesses and other stakeholders for the school. As a former Midway student, I take pride in our community achievements.
I was born and raised in Milledgeville, GA. I graduated from Baldwin High School in 1993 and enrolled at Georgia College and State University. I earned a bachelor’s degree in History and Secondary Education with a minor in Geography in 1997. I began teaching Social Studies at Baldwin High School in grades 9-12. During this time, I returned to Georgia College and State University and earned my Master’s degree in Social Science Education in 1999. I completed an add-on degree to his Master’s in 2001 in Administration and Supervision. In 2002, I was promoted to assistant principal and served as the Eighth Grade Assistant Principal at Oak Hill Middle School in Milledgeville for five years. During that time, I earned my Specialist degree from Troy University in 2005. I earned an administrative position in Bibb County (Macon, GA) in 2007 at Howard Middle School and at Northeast High School in 2010. I am proud to return to my roots and lead Midway Elementary School to success.
I believe in maximizing the full potential of students by constantly challenging them in their work and establishing connections with them. I also am a proud husband and father of three beautiful children.
